PRS Guitars was founded by Paul Reed Smith, hence the obvious initials in the company name, and are known for their beauty and craftsmanship as much as their sound. PRS' electric guitars are primarily classified as being either solid body or hollow body guitars and offer Signature and SE packages of these electric guitars. The Custom, in both 22 and 24 fret versions, and the McCarty are the mainstays of the solid body line and the Singlecut and the Hollowbody are their dominate hollow body guitars.
